THE WORK.

Working primarily in a technique that combines acrylic painting with mixed media sculpture on canvas, Kaitlin Paige Longoria has used these mediums to explore the raw layers of emotional expression.

After the completion of her first collection, Waking Up to Burnt Sienna, and of her award winning mixed media collage series, Wild. 30 Days of Collage, Longoria began construction on her newest body of work Core Series. Using dirt, discarded plants, and other found objects, she sculpts materials with acrylic paint to texturize and embody the inner life of her subjects. Navigating the fragility and durability of these reclaimed objects, her new series aims to illuminate the cycles of life, death, and the emotional chaos within one’s core.

In addition to her Core Series, Kaitlin Paige continues to work in mixed media collage with both commissioned work and her upcoming series, The Final Frontier, which will be released in the Fall of 2021.
